What a privilege it was to read “Lorah’s Promise”. Lorah is such a likeable, brave heroine and the author has developed her character so beautifully. Her dreams and challenges kept the plot moving and captured my interest totally. Lorah is totally believable; a sympathetic character. Tension was created every time she had to make a tough decision. These scenes were beautifully crafted. The conversations with Will were very mysterious and made me wonder who he was.I am ready for a second novel about Lorah!

Lorah's Promise is excellent! I am an adult and didn't want to put it down. I know young adults will feel the same.The story unfolds and carries the reader along and I found myself rooting for Lorah to succeed in her quest.The author's research glows in every sentence from the language to the hardships of immigrating to Canada.Every library should have a copy of this novel. I believe this book begs a sequel to follow Lorah's life.
