Arlene Johnston

is a writer of novels, short stories, and poetry. Her writing includes three adventure/fantasy young reader novels entitled, Dempster the Crow; Magassus Mountain, and Jule’s Story, her first published novel. She has also written a book of poetry, Poems in the Key of Life.

Arlene's novels, Dempster the Crow and Magassus Mountain have been combined into one novel entitled Magassus Mountain. Magassus Mountain was released as an eBook in December 2011, and is scheduled to come out in paperback in the spring of 2012.

 

In 2003, her entry `The Sound of Loneliness’ won first prize in the Canoe FM radio short story contest. Several of her short stories have appeared in The Haliburton County Echo’s Christmas supplement. Arlene lives in the Haliburton Highlands, Ontario.
